Job Summary
Conduct individualized nursing care for residents using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and residents to coordinate care, manage health maintenance, and resolve service concerns. Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence while ensuring safe administration of care. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards for the assigned clinical setting. Serve as charge nurse when required to oversee unit operations and delegate tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN in Minnesota
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for Every Other Weekend and Rotating Holidays
- Must be available for Night Shifts (4:00pm to 4:30am)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
