Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including patient assessment, triage, education, and coordination of care across the continuum. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate care while maintaining full scope of nursing expertise. Manage patients through preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up phases. Maintain current licensure, BLS certification, and required clinical training including ACLS and specialty certifications. Work 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour weekly schedule as a union position.
Required Qualifications
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility
- Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice
- Must maintain current BLS certification
- Additional training requirements for all RNs, which must be obtained within one year from date of hire, including ACLS and one of the following: CALS, CATN, ATCN or TNCC
