Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to facilities within the regional footprint upon hiring approval, with assignments including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care units. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications (BLS, ACLS for critical care) while reporting to Mercy Washington and surrounding communities. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with night shifts, including regional float pool incentives and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy Washington and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for evenings
- Must be available for part-time status (24 hours per week)
