Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care at assigned Mercy hospitals. Collaborate with diverse care teams to strengthen clinical assessment and critical thinking skills while maintaining a current RN license and required certifications. Work nights in a part-time 24-hour weekly schedule with shift differentials. Serve as a flexible resource to support patient populations across the regional footprint.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float to facilities within the St. Louis region
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be available for part-time status (24 hours per week)
