Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities within the regional footprint. Report to assigned hospitals including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard, with specific unit assignments determined upon hire. Provide bedside care in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care units, requiring recent one to two years of RN experience depending on specialty. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience. Work part-time nights shifts totaling 24 hours per week, rotating through diverse care teams to strengthen critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Part Time (24 hours per week) schedule
