Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through diverse units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU, with assignments determined upon hire and approval by leadership. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications (BLS, ACLS) while reporting to facilities within the regional footprint. Work part-time nights shifts (24 hours/week) with significant patient lifting and turning responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital
- Willingness to have determination of facilities discussed upon hire with approval by hiring leader/leadership team
- Willingness to work nights
- Willingness to work weekends
- Willingness to work shifts of 24 hours per week
