Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned Mercy Southeast and surrounding community hospitals, with specific facility assignments determined upon hire and approved by leadership. Provide bedside care in diverse units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care, requiring recent RN experience and current licensure. Perform physical duties involving patient lifting, turning, and ambulation. Work part-time nights shifts with a minimum of three facility assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float assignments across Mercy Southeast and surrounding communities
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for evenings
- Must be available for part-time status (24 hours per week)
