Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned facilities within the regional footprint, with specific locations determined upon hire and approval by leadership. Provide bedside care in units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care, rotating through diverse clinical environments. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications such as BLS. Work part-time nights shifts totaling 24 hours per week with significant patient lifting and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS & NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy South and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Part Time (24 hours per week) schedule
