Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned hospitals within the regional footprint, with specific locations determined upon hire and approval by leadership. Provide bedside care in units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU specialties. Maintain a current RN license and complete required certifications such as BLS and NRP. Work part-time nights shifts totaling 24 hours per week, rotating through Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard locations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Personal responsibility for obtaining and maintaining licensure
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy South and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be able to work nights shift
- Must be able to work part-time schedule (24 hours per week)
