Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU to strengthen clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Collaborate with diverse care teams while reporting to facilities within the regional footprint upon hiring approval. Requires one year of recent bed-side RN experience for Med/Surg or two years for critical care specialties, with a minimum of 24 hours per week scheduled for nights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for part-time status (24 hours per week)
