Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through units including medical-surgical, telemetry, stepdown, and intensive care settings such as CVICU, Trauma ICU, and Burn ICU. Report to facilities within the regional footprint upon hire, with specific assignments determined by leadership. Requires one year of recent bedside Med/Surg experience or two years for critical care specialties, plus current BLS and ACLS certification. Work part-time nights shifts (24 hours/week) with significant patient lifting and standing demands.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region
- Must be available for nights shift
- Must be available for part-time status (24 hours per week)
