Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery Birth Center, utilizing the nursing process to support women and infants. Prioritize evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary team while modeling proficiency through precepting new hires. Ensure compliance with AWHONN and AACN standards, including NRP certification within six months of hire and BLS/CPR certification. Participate in the night shift incentive pay program after orientation completion. This role supports UCHealth's mission to improve lives through learning, healing, and discovery in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
