Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned hospitals including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard, with specific units ranging from Orthopedics and Trauma to ICU and Telemetry. Collaborate with diverse care teams while performing physical duties such as lifting and turning patients up to 50 pounds. This full-time night shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, regional float pool perks, and shift differentials of $2.75 for evenings and $4.60 for nights. Candidates must hold a current RN license and possess at least one year of bedside experience in medical-surgical settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy Washington and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
