Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned hospitals within the regional footprint, with specific facility assignments determined upon hire and approved by leadership. Provide bedside care in units including Orthopedics, Trauma, Surgery, Oncology, Neuro, Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience where applicable. Perform physical duties involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients up to 50 pounds. Work full-time night shifts with significant shift differentials and a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy Washington and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Weekends shifts
- Must be available for Evenings shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
