Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care such as CVICU and Trauma ICU. Report to assigned facilities within the regional footprint upon hire approval. Maintain a current RN license and hold required certifications like BLS and ACLS. Requires one year of Med/Surg experience or two years for critical care specialties. Work nights shift with significant physical demands including lifting and turning patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy St. Louis and surrounding communities
- Must be available for assigned facilities including Mercy St. Louis, Mercy Jefferson, Mercy South, Mercy Washington, Mercy Lincoln, Mercy Perry, Mercy Southeast, and Mercy Stoddard
- Must be available for shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Must be available for full-time employment
- Must be willing to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital with determination discussed upon hire and approval by hiring leader/leadership team
