Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care at Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience. Work nights with shift differentials of $2.75 for evenings and $4.60 for nights, reporting to facilities assigned by the hiring leader.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy St. Louis and surrounding communities
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for evening shifts
- Must be willing to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital where they are employed
- Must be willing to accept determination of facilities to be discussed upon hire into position with approval by hiring leader/leadership team
