Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned hospitals within the regional footprint, including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Float between units such as Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care, including CVICU, Trauma, Burn, Neuro, and Surgical ICUs. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications (BLS, ACLS for critical care) while reporting to facilities upon hiring leader approval. Work nights shift in a full-time capacity with regional float pool perks and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy St. Louis and surrounding communities
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
