Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Rotate through units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU to strengthen clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Collaborate with diverse care teams while reporting to facilities within the regional footprint upon hiring leader approval. Requires one year of recent bed-side RN experience for Med/Surg or two years for other specialties, with a minimum of three assigned facilities. Work nights in a full-time role with regional float pool perks and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS & NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Weekend shifts
- Must be available for Evenings shifts
- Must be able to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital
- Must be able to work at Mercy St. Louis
- Must be able to work at Mercy Jefferson
- Must be able to work at Mercy South
- Must be able to work at Mercy Washington
- Must be able to work at Mercy Lincoln
- Must be able to work at Mercy Perry
- Must be able to work at Mercy Southeast
- Must be able to work at Mercy Stoddard
- Must be able to float to Medical/Surgical units
- Must be able to float to Orthopedics, Trauma, Surgery, Oncology, Neuro, Medical, Surgical units
- Must be able to float to Telemetry units (Cardiac, Surgical, Medical)
- Must be able to float to Stepdown units (Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Cardiac)
- Must be able to float to Intensive Care units (CVICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU)
