Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned facilities within the regional footprint, with specific locations determined upon hire and approval by leadership. Provide bedside care in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care units including CVICU, Trauma, Burn, Neuro, and Surgical ICUs. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS. Work nights in a full-time float pool role serving Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS & NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignment to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Full Time employment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
