Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to facilities within the regional footprint upon hire, with specific assignments determined by the hiring leader. Provide bedside care in units including medical-surgical, telemetry, stepdown, and intensive care settings such as CVICU and Trauma. Maintain a current RN license and meet state board requirements while reporting to Mercy South and surrounding communities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS certification for Women's Health
- NRP certification for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital where they are employed
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Weekends shift
- Must be available for Evenings shift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
