Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region, including Orthopedics, Trauma, Surgery, Oncology, Neuro, Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU units. Report to assigned facilities within the regional footprint upon hiring approval. Maintain a current RN license and hold required certifications such as BLS. Work full-time night shifts with significant patient lifting and turning responsibilities. This role offers flexibility, continuous learning, and diverse care team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS & NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignment across Mercy South and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for weekends
