Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned hospitals including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard, with specific units ranging from orthopedics and trauma to ICU and telemetry. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS, while managing physical demands involving patient lifting and turning. Work nights in a full-time regional float pool role, with facility assignments determined upon hire and approval by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS & NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy South and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Weekends shifts
- Must be available for Evenings shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
