Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care, rotating through Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS. Work full-time nights shifts with significant patient lifting and standing demands.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital where they are employed
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Weekends shift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
