Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned facilities within the regional footprint, including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Float between units such as medical-surgical, telemetry, stepdown, and intensive care settings including CVICU, Trauma ICU, and Burn ICU. Maintain a current RN license and meet state board requirements. Work nights as part of a full-time regional float pool rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and NRP certifications for Women's Health
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy South and Surrounding Communities facilities
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
