Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities within the St. Louis region. Provide bedside care in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care units including Orthopedics, Trauma, Oncology, Neuro, and Cardiac specialties. Rotate through assigned facilities such as Mercy Perry, Mercy St. Louis, and Mercy Jefferson while reporting to the hiring leader for facility placement. Maintain current RN licensure, hold required BLS and ACLS certifications, and possess at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience or two years for critical care roles. Work nights in a full-time position with shift differentials and regional float pool incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital
- Willingness to have determination of facilities discussed upon hire with approval by hiring leader/leadership team
- Willingness to work nights shift
- Willingness to work weekends
