Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to assigned facilities within the regional footprint upon hire, with specific locations determined by leadership. Provide bedside care in diverse units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and Intensive Care, requiring recent bed-side experience in at least one specialty. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and Epic familiarity. Work nights with shift differentials, reporting to Mercy Lincoln and surrounding communities while rotating through hospitals like Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to report to facilities within the regional footprint of the home hospital
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Full Time employment
- Must be available for Regional Float Pool assignment
- Must be willing to serve at Mercy St. Louis, Mercy Jefferson, Mercy South, Mercy Washington, Mercy Lincoln, Mercy Perry, Mercy Southeast, or Mercy Stoddard facilities
- Must be willing to accept a minimum of 3 assigned facilities
