Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the St. Louis region. Report to facilities within the regional footprint, with specific assignments determined upon hire and approved by leadership. Provide bedside care in units including orthopedics, trauma, surgery, oncology, telemetry, stepdown, and various ICU levels. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS and ACLS. Perform physical duties involving standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and turning patients. Work full-time nights shifts with a minimum of three facility assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Behavioral Health
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regional float pool assignments across Mercy facilities in the St. Louis region
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
