Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department. Float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities across the St. Louis region, including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Provide clinical assessment and critical thinking support while collaborating with diverse care teams. Requires minimum three years of Emergency Department RN experience with at least six months in the last year. BLS certification is required; ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and MANDT certifications must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Minimum 3 years Emergency Department RN experience
- Six months of this experience within the last year
- BLS certified
- ACLS certified
- NIH certified
- PALS certified
- TNCC certified
- ENPC certified
- MANDT certified within 90 days of hire
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
