Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department. Float between designated Mercy St. Louis facilities including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Maintain current RN licensure and hold BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and MANDT certifications. Requires minimum three years of Emergency Department RN experience with six months in the last year. Work nights in a part-time capacity across multiple hospitals in the St. Louis region, collaborating with diverse care teams and strengthening critical thinking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Minimum 3 years Emergency Department RN experience
- Six months of Emergency Department RN experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIH certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC certification
- ENPC certification
- MANDT certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability to float between designated East Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Willingness to work Nights shift
- Willingness to work Weekends
