Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Emergency Department facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Mercy Hospital sites including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Maintain current RN licensure and hold BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and MANDT certifications. Requires minimum three years of Emergency Department RN experience with six months in the last year. Work nights in a part-time capacity with significant patient lifting and physical activity demands.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Minimum 3 years Emergency Department RN experience
- Six months of this experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIH certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC certification
- ENPC certification
- MANDT certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability for Regional Float Pool between designated East Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Part-time status
- Night shift availability
