Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple Emergency Department facilities in the St. Louis region. Float between designated Mercy hospitals including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Maintain current RN licensure and hold required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and MANDT within 90 days of hire. Minimum three years of Emergency Department experience is required, with six months within the last year. Perform duties involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients up to 50 pounds during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Minimum 3 years Emergency Department RN experience
- Six months of this experience should be within the last year
- BLS certified
- ACLS certified
- NIH certified
- PALS certified
- TNCC certified
- ENPC certified
- MANDT certified
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Must obtain and maintain licensure within 90 days of hire
