Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department. Float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities across the St. Louis region, including Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard. Maintain current RN licensure and required certifications such as ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and MANDT within 90 days. Perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and turning patients up to 50 pounds. Work part-time night shifts with a minimum of three facility assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Minimum 3 years Emergency Department RN experience
- Six months of this experience should be within the last year
- BLS certified
- ACLS certified
- NIH certified
- PALS certified
- TNCC certified
- ENPC certified
- MANDT certified
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Must be available for regional float between designated East Community Mercy Hospital facilities
- Must be available for Nights shift
- Must be available for Part Time status
