Job Summary
Provides and coordinates nursing care for clients in a behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery setting; responsibilities include assessing physical and behavioral health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications with two identifiers, documenting and reviewing orders, communicating with the interdisciplinary treatment team, educating clients and families about medications and rights, ensuring client safety, and delivering thorough hand-off reports to oncoming staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing
- Valid current RN license from the state or from a compact state, where applicable
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements
