Job Summary
The RN Radiology role provides patient-centered nursing care across multiple units and specialties within radiology services, coordinating and delivering care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, administering prescribed medications, assisting physicians during procedures, collaborating on individualized care plans, responding to emergencies (e.g., CPR/code team activities), educating patients and families, adhering to infection control protocols, monitoring medical equipment, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The position requires strong knowledge of nursing practices, effective communication, attention to safety, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team across Critical Care, OR, Endoscopy, Oncology, Orthopedics, PACU, NICU, Telemetry, Dialysis, Cath Lab, and other Radiology-related areas; licensure as an RN is required and ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
