RN QAPI Coordinator/Infection Preventionist

Job Summary
Develops, implements, and maintains a facility-wide QAPI program and infection prevention and control program. Leads the QAPI committee and the Infection Prevention Control Committee. Develops and implements ongoing infection prevention and control measures to protect residents, staff, and visitors; oversees antibiotic stewardship; provides staff and resident education on infection prevention and control principles; ensures reporting of public health-relevant diseases; collaborates with occupational health and safety; maintains documentation of program activities.
Required Qualifications
- A professionally-trained nurse that has earned a certificate/diploma or degree in nursing
- Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
- Education, training, experience, or certification in infection control and prevention
- Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control through accredited continuing education
