RN - Progressive Care Unit (Intermediate)

Conduct comprehensive nursing care for patients with stroke, TIA, seizures, and post-operative neurosurgical procedures in an eighteen-bed intermediate unit. Perform initial assessments, develop and modify plans of care, and ensure accurate documentation of interventions. Monitor post-operative neurosurgical patients closely, address DNV measures for stroke/TIA cases, and utilize meaningful hourly rounding and bedside shift reports for communication. Report safety hazards, provide constructive feedback to peers, and identify personal learning needs to maintain departmental competencies. Complete required certifications including BLS and ACLS.
