RN - Progressive Care Unit - Full Time - Days

Job Summary
Assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practices and the nursing process within the Progressive Care Unit. Coordinate the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and act as an educator for peers, patients, and families. Participate in quality assurance or performance improvement initiatives to ensure service excellence and a healing environment. Identify and communicate needed unit resources or equipment for budget inclusion. Maintain active RN licensure in Florida, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, with specialty certification required within two years. Work full-time days with physical demands including lifting up to 50lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN preferred
- Clear and Active RN licensure in the State of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- American Heart Association PALS certification required
- NRP Certification within 90 days of hire date
- STABLE certification within 90 days of hire date
- National Certification in specialty within 2 years of hire date
- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements
- In-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
- TB/PPD Surveillance Program
- Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s)
- Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs
- Carry and lift up to 50lbs
