Job Summary
Facilitate, implement, and evaluate the Patient Plan of Care while collaborating with the health care team to promote positive outcomes. Perform ongoing review, initiation, and implementation of patient orders, prioritizing responsibilities based on urgency and patient needs. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and provider communications; assess patient safety risks for skin integrity, fall risk, and restraint use. Supervise assigned staff, delegate appropriately, and report performance issues to ensure appropriate care. Provide patient and family education, actively assist others, and engage in unit-based councils to facilitate solutions. Requires RN licensure in Delaware, BLS/ACLS/NIH certifications, and experience in acute care or step-down settings.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- NIH - Stroke Certification
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware
- Ability to perform CPR
- PCCN certification within 2 years of start date
- Clinical Ladder within 2 years of start date
- Cardiac Surgery Certification (CSC) within 3 years of start date
- CSU- ALS Certification within 3 years of start date
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written and Verbal
- Knowledge And Experience with Electronic Health Record
Desired Qualifications
- RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years nursing experience caring for Step Down level of care patients including cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Experience In Hospital or Acute Care Setting
