Job Summary
Educate, coach, and mentor nursing employees from initial orientation through ongoing employment. Serve as a resource to leadership for implementing education programs, evidence-based practice, and outcomes evaluation. Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing professional development practice while guiding career advancement. Requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and a Master's degree within four years of hire. Reports to a Nurse Manager or Nursing Director. Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system serving southwest Ohio with a mission to promote and restore health.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Nursing related Master's degree
- Certification in specialty area
- BLS
- Minimum of three years clinical RN experience
Desired Qualifications
- Strong intrapersonal skills
- Experience as Med Surg RN Preceptor
- Experience with professional development programs, such as Clinical Ladder, CE development, Nurse Leader Fellowship
- Proficient in utilizing computer software, Microsoft Suite
- Experience with an electronic learning management system
