RN PRN PACU

RN PRN in the PACU department providing patient-centered care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, administering prescribed medications, monitoring for side effects, assisting physicians during procedures, coordinating individualized care plans, responding to medical emergencies (including CPR), educating patients and families, enforcing infection control protocols, operating and monitoring medical equipment, documenting care, and participating in audits and performance-improvement initiatives. Requires 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience; appropriate state licensure as an RN and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred. PACU-focused duties include post-anesthesia assessment, pain evaluation, IV fluid management, wound care, oxygen support, and post-operative education.
