Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with patients and families through bedside reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and just-in-time teaching. Coordinate safe quality care delivery via diverse interdisciplinary communication, timely documentation, and case reviews. Participate in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance activities to promote patient safety and best practice outcomes. Complete all mandatory education, competency assessments, and serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses. Uphold Wellstar Health System policies, TJC Patient Safety Goals, and the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
