Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with patients and families through bedside reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and just-in-time teaching. Coordinate safe quality patient care by completing timely documentation and participating in diverse interdisciplinary communication methods. Uphold Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act standards, American Nurses Association ethics, and all Wellstar Health System policies and safety absolutes. Complete mandatory education, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and contribute to performance improvement and research activities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Ability to hold basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment
- Ability to respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
- Ability to practice nursing using evidence
- Ability to possess strong critical thinking skills
