Job Summary
RN PRN MedSurg Oncology -Days role on the Oncology Unit (twenty-eight-bed unit) providing inpatient nursing care for adult cancer patients with a focus on evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process, coordinating care, ensuring timely documentation, supporting performance improvement, acting as a preceptor/mentor for other staff, and participating in data collection and protocol development to improve patient outcomes. Requires active RN license (single state or multi-state compact), BLS, ACLS (and ACLS instructor options or provisioned within 180 days), and typically 2 years of current practice in the area, with shifts to include days, weekends, and holidays as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Minimum 2 years current experience in specified area of practice
- Computer/data entry experience
- Epic and 3M experience Preferred
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated
