Job Summary
Conduct admission and ongoing assessments of patients, providing nursing care for physical, psychological, and spiritual needs while notifying physicians of critical changes. Design, direct, and document individualized care plans, including patient and family teaching, to ensure safe discharge and transition of care. Prepare patients physically and mentally for surgeries and diagnostic studies, implementing safety protocols and medication orders. Reassess patients at appropriate intervals to adjust interventions and modify care based on emerging needs. Give and receive comprehensive bedside shift reports with family participation to maintain continuity of care. Requires Associate of Science Nursing, one year of RN experience, and certification in BLS and ACLS.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science Nursing
- One (1) year of RN experience, upon hire
- Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
