Job Summary
RN PreOp/PACU provides nursing care in preoperative and PACU settings, including IV starts, patient assessments, education on surgical and discharge processes, assisting anesthesia with blocks, monitoring vital signs/respiratory/cardio status in recovery, ensuring medications are administered and documented, and contributing to post-op discharge instructions. Requires ADN/ASN or equivalent, RN license in IL or WI, and ACLS/PALS/BLS; 4+ years nursing experience; ambulatory surgery center environment; part-time schedule with potential evenings/weekends; strong documentation and patient-family education skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Nursing
- RN license (state you will practice in)
- PALS, ACLS, BLS licenses required
- Minimum of four years of nursing experience
