Job Summary
RN PREOP PACU PAT responsibilities include managing pre-admission testing and PAT duties (EKG, blood draws), overseeing intake and physical assessments, confirming the surgeon and procedure, initiating IVs, and ensuring readiness for surgery. In PACU, assess and monitor post-operative patients, ensure vitals stay within normal range, document findings, educate patients and families on procedures and medications, manage blood and fluid transfusions, change dressings, and develop individualized care plans in accordance with the patient care plan. Requires Graduate of an accredited nursing program, active CPR, current nursing license in good standing, and 2-3 years’ experience in critical care nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current and active CPR certification
- Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- 2-3 Years’ experience as a in critical care nursing required
