Job Summary
Oversee patient intake and perform initial physical assessments, including EKGs and blood draws, while interviewing patients to obtain medical histories. Manage preoperative admission processes by verifying identification, confirming informed consents, initiating IVs, and recording vital statistics to ensure surgical readiness. Assess post-operative patients emerging from anesthesia, monitor vital signs, manage sedation levels and fluid transfusions, and perform wound care interventions. Develop individualized care plans, educate patients on procedures and medications, and report condition changes to physicians. Maintain clean, sanitized post-operative spaces and log all findings in patient files. Requires 2-3 years of critical care nursing experience and an active license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current and active CPR certification
- Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- 2-3 Years' experience as a in critical care nursing required
- Cognitive skills as related to the position
- Employment eligibility will be verified through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system
