Job Summary
Oversee pre-admission testing by conducting initial physical assessments, obtaining medical histories, and performing ordered tests such as EKGs and blood draws. Manage patient admission processes, verify identification wristbands, and ensure operative consents are in order before initiating IVs and recording vital statistics. Assess post-operative patients emerging from anesthesia, monitor vitals, and manage sedation levels, fluid transfusions, and wound care. Develop individualized care plans, log findings, and respond to post-operative emergencies while educating patients and families on procedures and medications. Requires 2-3 years of critical care nursing experience, active CPR certification, and a valid state nursing license. Seasonal full-time role from September to December.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current and active CPR certification
- Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- 2-3 Years' experience as a in critical care nursing required
- Cognitive skills as related to the position
- Employment eligibility will be verified through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system
- All applicants must provide valid documentation to establish identity and authorization to work in the United States
