Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Premier Per Diem program for the Cardiac Evaluation Unit at Rochester General Hospital. The role focuses on caring for patients recovering from complex cardiac events, including post–Cath Lab patients (TAVR/PCI), post-device patients, and those requiring continuous oxygen therapy, within an intermediate-care telemetry setting. Responsibilities include providing patient care and service, developing individualized care plans, maintaining effective communication, proficient EHR documentation, and adhering to department and system regulations. The program offers an 16-hour minimum per pay period requirement during evening, night, or weekend shifts and a minimum 6-month commitment, plus premium and certification pay opportunities. Licensure as an RN in NYS and BLS certification are required; a Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred. May provide pathway for career progression within Cardiac Nursing and Cath Lab opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required
- RN License in New York State
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- At least 6 months RN experience preferred
