Job Summary
Assess patients prior to admission via phone or in person, collecting medical history from previous records. Coordinate patient needs with the anesthesia department and perform direct patient care activities for all age groups. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in accordance with established hospital policies and departmental standards. Work under the direct supervision of the ASU Nurse Manager in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit, which serves pediatric and adult postoperative patients. Schedule includes 5a-1:30p or 5:30a-2p shifts with no call and weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association certification
- Strong clinical skills
- Effective communication
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
